The song Toxic, by Britney Spears, was a huge hit for the cast of Glee. It was performed in a show entitled Brittany/ Britney where a cast member embodies Spears, and even their teacher sang on the stage with them to perform this tune at an assembly.

4. Forget You

The second song in the glee songs list performed by Gwyneth Paltrow, Forget You was another hit that was still on the charts when Glee decided to perform it. It was a cleaner version of a song with a much riskier title by Cee Lo Green in November 2010.

3. Teenage Dream

Teenage Dream is the first song in the list performed by the opposing glee club, who are led by a Glee cast members new love interest, Blaine. Blaine takes the lead on this song that is backed by the all male club at a different high school.

Loser Like Me was in the March 2011 episode entitled Original Song. This was another new song that had not been previously recorded, which was a big hit with Glee fans. It chronicled the mistreatment of the glee club at their high school by other students and teachers.

Number One on the Glee Songs List..

1.  Don’t Stop Believin

This song is still the number one most popular song ever done by the Glee cast, and it was one of the first way back in season 1, in June 2009. This leader on the glee songs list was in the very first episode of Glee and has been the theme song for the show all along.

The Influence of Glee Songs

Glee Songs and The First Hit

Glee songs from the show Glee began way back in June of 2009, as a show that many predicted wouldn’t go far or get past their first few episodes. From the first hit song, Don’t Stop Believin, the crowd was hooked, and this show is now one of the leading shows on television. Many people didn’t think it was possible, but the show has grabbed the hearts of millions who tune in every week to cheer for the glee club’s success.

Glee Songs and The Story Line

The story line has gone far from just talent competitions, and has taken on difficult subjects like bullying, unplanned pregnancy, harassment, and what it is like to be a gay teen. These subjects have not only touched many, but made people all over the world more tolerant and supportive of others.

In just one example, many parents report that the tolerance that the gay son’s father showed when he came out of the closet inspired them to be tolerant of their children in a similar circumstance. This type of humanity, driven by a television show, has many in shock, and waiting to see what the next topic will be to change lives.

Glee Songs Influence

The influence Glee has had on the contemporary music scene has been incredible. If your song is a hit in any way whatsoever, it will be duplicated on Glee. If your song happens to be slightly under the radar upon release but is lucky enough to get picked up by Glee, it will be #1! All kinds of stars- both music and movie stars, are begging to make a cameo appearance with the cast of Glee. The glee club students are now famous television stars in magazines and all over the red carpets. The glee songs have become hits in their own right, and the shows stars and producers weren’t ready for the amount of success that they received almost overnight, but they seem to attribute it to several things.

First, everyone cheers for the underdog, and these kids are certainly underdogs. They may be incredible singers and even win competitions on the show itself, but when they return back to their high school, they are bullied and mistreated. For everyone who has felt that way, from high school to adult life, it makes you want to cheer for these kids to succeed. Additionally, the show is one of the most feel good things you can watch on television. With all the terrible things going on in the world, and the reality TV which seems to have taken over, Glee is a breath of fresh air and makes me smile and want to share the songs with their friends.

Although Glee has only been around for a few seasons, it has become a hit and millions of viewers turn in every week religiously to watch their favorite characters successes or failures and to hear the glee songs. This show seems like it will be around for quite awhile, and has inspired people all over the world to follow their dreams and treat others with dignity. What else can you expect from a television show? The characters, and glee songs, have touched many and will continue to do so over the coming seasons.
